The China (Guangxi)–ASEAN Artificial Intelligence Application Ecosystem Exchange Conference 2025 opened on September 18 at Wuxiang
Cloud Valley AI Park in Nanning, launching a new chapter of AI cooperation between China and ASEAN nations. Centered on the theme
of “AI+” collaboration, the event unveiled more than 30 cross-border AI achievements and saw the signing of over 50 agreements
aimed at strengthening partnerships and advancing digital transformation across the region. As a flagship event of the 22nd
China-ASEAN Expo, the conference featured a main forum, industry-specific sub-forums, an innovation exhibition, and networking
sessions designed to integrate AI into real-economy applications and accelerate intelligent development.
Nanning Mayor Hou Gang highlighted the city’s efforts to build the China-ASEAN AI Innovation Cooperation Center and a complete AI
industry chain, positioning Nanning as a key hub for Chinese AI companies expanding into Southeast Asia. Malaysia’s representative
Yeoh Jun Hao emphasized the strong complementarity between China and Malaysia in AI, noting the country’s active adoption of AI
technologies in agriculture. The conference also witnessed the launch of several key platforms and initiatives, including the
“Star Computing Cloud Pool” inclusive computing power platform by Wuxiang Cloud Valley, the AITIR multilingual real-time
translation card, and the National Robotics Exchange talent platform. Additionally, the China-ASEAN AI
Industry-University-Research Innovation Alliance was established, along with the “AI Application Ecosystem Construction
Initiative” by Runjian Co., Ltd.
Parallel sessions explored AI applications in education, agriculture, healthcare, and intelligent operations, while an innovation
exhibition showcased practical AI solutions from over 40 institutions and ASEAN enterprises. Co-organized by the Nanning Municipal
People’s Government, the Guangxi Big Data Development Department, and other partners, the conference attracted nearly a thousand
representatives from governments, businesses, and academic institutions. Guangxi officials affirmed their commitment to deepening
AI partnerships with ASEAN and promoting the widespread adoption of “AI+” across the region.
